Auburn has lost a commitment from the 2024 recruiting class.
Jalewis Solomon, a four-star cornerback in the 2024 cycle, has decommitted from Auburn, per On3.
“It came down to me making a decision pretty early,” Solomon said. “I rushed it and I just wasn’t ready when I committed. I have been thinking about this for a while and I just have to take some time and do what is best for myself. Auburn did nothing wrong, but I just had a change of heart.”
Solomon, a 6-foot-1, 185-pound prospect out of Ellaville, Georgia (Schley County HS), is listed as an athlete but plays both wide receiver and safety in high school. He recorded 86 receptions for 1,210 yards and 10 touchdowns last season, to go along with 29 tackles and 3.5 TFL.
He is the No. 199 prospect, No. 19 athlete, and No. 26 overall player in the state of Georgia according to the 247Sports composite rankings. He was originally predicted to commit to South Carolina by multiple recruiting experts.
