The order of Auburn's quarterbacks from the open media viewing window

The media saw all four scholarship quarterbacks take practice reps in Auburn football's first spring practice.

Auburn football's spring practices are underway and all four quarterbacks had reps during the media viewing window Tuesday afternoon.

Much like most years, the quarterback position will be closely monitored by Auburn media and fans as a step forward at the position will be needed for the Tigers to win more games in 2024.

The order that we saw from Auburn's quarterbacks as they went through drills was: Payton Thorne, Holden Geriner, Hank Brown, and Walker White.

*These quarterbacks did switch a bunch during these drills after the first cycle though.

Thorne is the incumbent starter who split some reps with Robby Ashford a year ago. The former Michigan State quarterback transferred to Auburn after spring last year. It's assumed that Thorne going through a spring at Auburn will set him up for more success with the offense.

Brown will look to keep the momentum going from his two drives in the Music City Bowl against Maryland where he led Auburn on two drives where the offense appeared to have some pop and explovieness. Geriner has been touted as having a beautiful throwing motion and great ball placement but hasn't seen much production or opportunity in-game action.

White is the newest member of the room after joining the team as part of the 2024 class. His traits and early signs of leadership show a lot of upsides for his career at Auburn.

Thorne, or whoever will lead Auburn's offense will do so with a new offensive coordinator in Derrick Nix and Hugh Freeze is expected to have a much larger role in game planning and calling plays in 2024.
