Podcast: Auburn basketball falls to Alabama

Bruce Pearl and the Auburn basketball team was the site for ESPN College GameDay when hosting the Alabama Crimson Tide. Nate Oats and Brandon Miller have led Alabama to be one of the hottest teams in all of college basketball. The Auburn Tigers are aiming to find a top-four seed in the SEC Tournament.

AUTLIVE raises awareness of cancer prevention and detection while T-shirt sales and donations raise money to benefit cancer patients and their local hospitals. Pearl and his coaching staff initiated the OUTLIVE program in 2009 at Tennessee in recognition of former Vol Chris Lofton, who beat testicular cancer through early diagnosis and local treatment. He went on to play the entire 2007-08 season while battling the disease.

For the third year, prostate cancer screenings will take place on the concourse of Neville Arena before and during the game for men, who wish to be tested.

Both teams and game officials will hold up placards before tipoff in memory of loved ones, friends, and colleagues, who are still fighting or have lost their battle with cancer.
