Live In-Game Updates: No. 11 Baylor Bears Host Texas Tech Red Raiders

The Bears and Red Raiders are set for a Big 12 showdown.

Days after upsetting No. 13 Iowa State, Texas Tech has a chance to extend their win streak to three games Saturday at Baylor.

The Red Raiders beat LSU in the Big 12/SEC Challenge, then beat the Cyclones Monday for their first conference win of the season. They're still sitting firmly in last place in the Big 12 standings thanks to a 1-8 conference mark, but are ranked No. 62 in KenPom. This year, even the bottom of the conference is worthy of bubble contention.

Baylor, meanwhile, is expected to get back star big man Jonathan Tchamwa Tchatchoua, almost exactly one year after he suffered a knee injury in Feb. 2022 against Texas.

The Bears are 9.5-point favorites as they enter the home stretch of the conference title race.

Under-16: Texas Tech 9, Baylor 6. Four combined three-pointers here in the early goings, as both teams seem committed to the long ball. Something to watch: Keyonte George dropped 27 points in these teams' last meeting. He's currently sitting at three points on 1/2 shooting.

Under-12: Texas Tech 13, Baylor 10. After spending over a year sidelined by a knee injury, Jonathan Tchamwa Tchatchoua made his triumphant return to the court. He (deservedly) received a standing ovation.

Under-8: Texas Tech 17, Baylor 16. Both teams have struggled to make shots, shooting a combined 13/31 from the field and 4/13 from three. It's been a back-and-forth affair all game, with neither team going on an extended scoring run thus far.

Under-4: Baylor 29, Texas Tech 27. Baylor finally went on a scoring run, as Flo Thamba and Keyonte George combined to score six straight points. (Not to be outdone, though, Texas Tech guard De'Vion Harmon hit back-to-back jumpers. He's at the line to shoot a free throw after the break.)

HALFTIME: Baylor 38, Texas Tech 34. Jonathan Tchamwa Tchatchoua pulled up from the top of the key and drained a three-pointer. It was just the seventh made three of his career, and was far cooler than anything else that happened at the end of the half.

Under-16: Baylor 46, Texas Tech 40. De'Vion Harmon has continued his absolute tear, scoring twice to start the half. He's up to 16 points on the night. Meanwhile, Jalen Bridges is back (and scoring!) after leaving the game before halftime with an apparent injury.

Under-12: Baylor 54, Texas Tech 40. The Bears are hotter than coals right now, scoring eight points in 48 seconds before Texas Tech called a desperation timeout. Baylor is rolling, and looking like a top seed in the NCAA Tournament.

Under-8: Baylor 70, Texas Tech 45. Hey, remember that crazy run a few minutes ago? Well, the Bears just outdid themselves, going on a 14-0 run in the past 1:35. This game is getting out of hand.

Under-4: Baylor 76, Texas Tech 53. After a rough four-game shooting stretch, the Bears are shooting 50.0 percent from the field and 43.5 percent from three. This is certainly Baylor's most dominant Big 12 win of the season; prior to Saturday, they'd only won one conference game by double digits.

FINAL: Baylor 89, Texas Tech 62. The Bears made history on Saturday, securing their biggest margin of victory over Texas Tech since Feb. 2013. They'll host Oklahoma on Wednesday.
