Boston College basketball may have received some huge news today as Jeff Goodman tweeted out that the Eagles have landed guard Makai Ashton-Langford out of Providence College

Ashton-Langford, a 6-3 guard out of Worcester and the Brewer Academy in New Hampshire was the #38 ranked recruit in the entire country in 2017, and topped ranked recruit in the state of Massachusetts. He chose Providence that year over BC, Rhode Island, Louisville, VCU, St. Bonnie, and lesser schools like UConn. He was rated a .9848 with four stars on 247, so clearly he was a highly sought after local recruit.

However his time at PC never really panned out. Ashton-Langford only averaged 3.7 points and 2.3 assists per game last year while playing 17 minutes a game, while averaging 4.2 points the year before. He is an exciting player, and could create a dynamic back court with Wynston Tabbs when he is eligible to play in 2020 (He has two years of eligibility)

Welcome to the Heights Makai!
