Wynston Tabbs To Miss '19-20 Season After Knee Surgery

Boston College basketball announced some really bad news today as guard Wynston Tabbs will be out the entire season rehabbing from knee surgery that is set to happen on September 17th.
"While I won't be able to play this season, I know that it is a temporary setback and I will be back stronger than ever before," Tabbs said. "I want to thank my family, the Boston College Basketball program, and all our fans for their continued support. I've overcome obstacles before in my life and will work tirelessly to overcome this one. I am built for this."
Tabbs averaged 13.9 points per game in 2018-19 during the 15 games he played with the Eagles last season before being shelved for the remainder of the season with a knee injury. Losing Tabbs is a big blow as he was projected to be the big scorer for a team that just lost Ky Bowman to the NBA draft.
This season BC will most likely be starting transfer guard Derryck Thornton at one guard spot, and some combination of Chris Herren Jr., Jay Heath or Jared Hamilton at the other guard spot.
