Boston College Lands Commitment From 3* OT Ozzy Trapilo

Boston College held it's third summer camp this weekend, which usually means a few "camp" commitments. But they received even bigger news when BC High offensive tackle Ozzy Trapilo committed to the Eagles via Twitter:
Committed!! Thank you to everyone who’s made it such an incredible experience! #DecideToFly 🦅 pic.twitter.com/PY0GFnsykq

This is an absolutely huge get for Steve Addazio and his crew as the 6'8 275 lb tackle chose the Eagles over claimed offers from Georgia Tech, Duke, Virginia, Wake Forest, Michigan, Rutgers, Northwestern, Nebraska, Louisville and lesser schools like UConn. Trapilo is currently ranked the #6 recruit in the state of Massachusetts, which is pretty huge given the level of talent in the Bay State this year. Again, beating Michigan and Don Brown for recruits is a huge deal, so a big tip of the cap to the Eagles staff!
He is the third offensive lineman taken in this draft, joining fellow Massachusetts native Kevin Pyne, and Texas center Addison Penn. He is the second recruit (Pyne) to join the Eagles from Massachusetts.
UPDATE 6/24: (Thanks to reader Michael Cavoto): Ozzy is in fact a legacy, with his late father Stephen who died unexpectedly at age 39 in 2004, playing offensive line during the Doug Flutie years, becoming a captain his senior year and was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the fourth round. Ozzy got his name in honor of an orphan his father befriended and helped with the Saints.
Welcome to the Heights Ozzy!
