Boston College Tops Hockey East Coaches Poll

Bright year predicted for the Eagles

Boston College Tops Hockey East Coaches Poll

The Hockey East Coaches voted this week on their conference preseason poll. The Boston College Eagles came up at the top, followed by last year's National Championship runner up UMass Minutemen. BC got eight first place votes, UMass got two, while the Northeastern Huskies got only one. This is a big jump for the Eagles who finished 2018-19 with a 10-11-3 mark.

This vote shows the kind of talent BC are returning this year and solid recruiting class that the Eagles have brought in. David Cotton, who led Hockey East in goal scores will be returning to the Eagles along with Logan Hutsko who was in the Top 10 in assists last year. Add to that the #2 recruiting class in the country (according to NeutralZone.net) and the Eagles jumped up to the top of the Coaches Poll.

You can check out the entire coaches poll below.

The Eagles open their season on October 11 against Wisconsin at Conte Forum.
