After a full slate of games on Saturday, the Big 12 released a preview of the Big 12 tournament bracket if the season ended today. BYU, who is .500 in conference play, would be the 7-seed in the conference tournament. The Cougars would face the Texas Longhorns, the 10-seed, in the second round.

The winner of BYU-Texas would advance to the quarterfinals to take on Houston. Houston is currently second in the conference standings.

BYU and Texas already faced each other once this season. The Cougars beat the Longhorns convincingly in Provo 84-72.

If the season ended today, West Virginia, Kansas State, UCF, and Oklahoma State would be the four programs that would play in the first round.

BYU, Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, Cincinnati, and TCU would get a bye in the first round. Iowa State, Houston, Kansas, and Baylor have separated themselves at the stop of the standings. Those four would be rewarded with byes in the first two rounds. They would play their first games of the tournament in the quarterfinals.
