Ex-Cal Star Mitchell Schwartz Chimes in on Aaron Rodgers' Isolation Retreat

Offensive tackle Mitchell Scwartz arrived at Cal three years after Aaron Rodgers' final season with the Golden Bears, but both former Cal standouts have built enough credibility that their opinions should be heard.
Schwartz, a 2018 All-Pro who announced his retirement from the NFL this past July, responded on social media to Rodgers' revelation on Tuesday's Pat McAfee Show that he plans to attend an isolation retreat in which he will be completely by himself in total darkness for four days while he contemplates whether to retire from football.
"Weird the Packers aren't consulting more with the guy who needs to go on a 4 day darkness retreat to figure out whether he wants to play football..."
Rodgers, always an independent thinker, seldom responds to tweets, but decided to follow up regarding the comments of the fellow Cal alumnus.
"Be curious. Not Judgmental.
"We are all on our own path, and doing things like this helps me find a greater sense of peace and love for life. Love and rrespect to you."

Schwartz, a three-time second-team All-Pro to go along with his lone first-team selection, and Rodgers have both played in -- and won -- a Super Bowl.
Schwartz was considered one of the best tackles of his era, and he helped the Chiefs win the 2020 Super Bowl (2019 season). Below he talks about Andy Reid's preparation for the oddities of a Super Bowl.
