The Tigers continued their winning ways on the recruiting trail Tuesday, as the nation's No. 1 player, defensive end Bryan Bresee, selected the Tigers over Alabama, Penn State, Ohio State and Georgia.

The Tigers continued their winning ways on the recruiting trail Tuesday, as the nation's No. 1 player, defensive end Bryan Bresee, selected the Tigers over Alabama, Penn State, Ohio State and Georgia.

With the commitment of the 6-foot-5, 290-pound Bresee, the Tigers overtook the Alabama Crimson Tide for the No. 1 class for the 2020 recruiting cycle. 

According to 247 sports', Steve Wilfong, Bresee is a, "Wide-bodied, bulky frame with the ability to grow into an inside defender or trim down into a big edge lineman. Has elite get-off and first-step quickness, particularly given his size and bulk. Shows quick hands as a pass rusher. Diagnoses plays effectively in the run game and has the agility to navigate through trash. 

"High-level basketball player that translates that athleticism to the football field effectively. Plays poor competition in high school and is not challenged on a play-to-play basis. Limited polish as a pass-rusher. Trending towards an inside defender but possesses edge first-step quickness. No-doubt immediate impact elite Power 5 player with No. 1 overall NFL Draft choice upside."

Bresee stated that he, "would like to that Coach Swinney, Coach Bates and Coach Venables. I'm All In."
