The Clemson Tigers will look to hold three players this week against the Wofford Terriers.

The biggest name being starting defensive end Xavier Thomas, who has missed the last two games with a concussion suffered in practice. However, while head coach Dabo Swinney believes that Thomas will be ready to go Saturday, the hope is to hold him one more week in hopes of him being 100% for the Tigers' matchup next week against NC State.

"He was back in pads today and did well," Swinney said Wednesday. "We are really encouraged with where he is especially after last night and today. The plan is for him to be ready to go and try to hold him but get him back for pregame and all that stuff. We’ll play him if we have to, but really try to hold him. He’s doing good."

Xavier Kelly, who missed last week's game against Boston College after suffering a sprain in the AC joint, is expected to also sit this week, as is Tiger safety Denzel Johnson, who also is battling an AC joint injury.

Update: Starting OG John Simpson not playing today
