Maven is pleased to announce that we have entered into a long term partnership with Authentic Brands Group (ABG) to license and operate the Sports Illustrated media business, which was recently acquired by ABG. The 8k filing available here provides key details of this partnership.

The license includes rights to the print version of Sports Illustrated—which appears every other week—as well as the annual SI Swimsuit issue and SI for Kids and the related digital properties.

The move came on the heels of last week's announcement that Maven had acquired the financial news outlet, TheStreet, Inc., joining the likes of History, Maxim, Yoga Journal, and Ski Magazine.

Maven is a coalition, dedicated to publishing professional content on a shared digital media platform. Based out of Seattle, the CEO is James Heckman, the founder of Rivals.com and Scout.com.

Additionally, we are happy to announce that Ross Levinsohn, former senior executive from Fox and Yahoo!, has agreed to become the CEO of what will soon be named Sports Illustrated Media.
