Although Trevor Lawrence has had less success in the air so far this year, he has added a running game to his own personal arsenal of offensive weapons. Leadership doesn't shy away from doing the hard things as Lawrence shows in this photo series.

Lawrence had 11 rushing attempts during the game against the Tar Heels of UNC in Chapel Hill on Saturday. He gained 45 yards and broke a personal record of 42 yards he had achieved twice before: once during the 2018 game at Boston College and once during this season's game against Syracuse. Lawrence also scored a touchdown on a 3-yard rush in the last minute of the second half, increasing his rushing touchdown total to four on the season.

There were several times during Saturday's game when Lawrence moved the ball forward using his legs when no other option was available.

"I thought Trevor was gritty," head coach Dabo Swinney said during the post game interview. "He showed unbelievable leadership. They forced us to run him a little bit, and man, he ran tough. He made some really key move-the-chains plays for us."

The Tigers will have a bye week coming up this weekend giving them two weeks to prepare for their next home game against Florida State on Oct. 12. And as hard as it is to defend Lawrence's passing attack, the Seminoles will have their work cut out for them as they look to defend an offense with a quarterback who can be a game changer with his legs as well.
