Skalski: I Don't think Anyone Wants To See Us

Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney has been able to play the disrespect card to perfection each of the last five seasons. Whether it was "lil ole Clemson", the " ROY Bus" or any number of other iterations of the aforementioned titles, the Tigers have been able to "awe shucks" their way to four straight College Football Playoff appearances, two national titles and four straight conference titles.

Whether it was "lil ole Clemson", the " ROY Bus" or any number of other iterations of the aforementioned titles, the Tigers have been able to "awe shucks" their way to four straight College Football Playoff appearances, two national titles and four straight conference titles.

However, is that card played out? It is if you ask linebacker Jamie Skalski.

"Yeah, well, I don't think anyone wants to see little ole Clemson dominating like we have," Skalski said. "We've just got to keep doing us. Just keep believing and working and everything will play out like it should."

For Skalski, he cannot help but shake his head when he hears the national media and analysts critiquing what the Tigers have done over the last five seasons. 

"Yeah, but you're not thinking about it," Skalski said. "You just have to...whatever, who cares."

With the entire nation seemingly against the Tigers after their one-point win at North Carolina in their last game, Tigers are not concerned with whether or not the people outside of the program now view their team as underdogs.

"No (we don't view ourselves as underdogs)," Skalski said. "No, I think we know what we have got. But we have a chip on our shoulder, for sure. But I think we really believe in what we have got and what we can do."
