Clemson Basketball Gets Transfer Addition from NC State

One conference opponent's loss turns into Clemson's gain

It's the time of year when a bevy of Transfer Portal info will be coming your way as most transfers have taken their visits and are finishing up evaluating their final options. Clemson and head coach Brad Brownell received some good news on Tuesday as Jack Clark, former forward for the North Carolina State Wolfpack, committed to the Tigers.

Clark played just one season for NC State after coming in from La Salle and is on the move again but this time staying within the same conference. The 6'8 forward averaged a solid 9 points and 6.9 rebounds this past year to go along with 1.5 assists and 1.7 steals in about 27 minutes a game. He has proven to be a willing shooter from the outside taking just over 4 threes a game but his percentage, especially since his freshman season, leaves something to be desired at only 28.9%.

With that being said, Clark can have an impact on both ends of the floor and should prove to be a capable rotation player in the Tigers front court. He certainly has the experience to know who he is as a college player since this will be his 6th year of eligibility utilizing his Covid season. Clark red-shirted his sophomore season at La Salle so this will be only his 5th year of actually playing.

Clemson returning forwards Ian Schiefellin and RJ Godfrey will look to form a solid forward rotation with Clark. Look for 2 of those names to be consistently on the floor with returning center PJ Hall.
