Recruit Jackson Chadwick Speaks Candidly About Colorado Offer, Deion Sanders

In this story:
The Colorado Buffaloes dished out an influx of offers to the next three recruiting classes of 2027, 2028 and 2029.
Offensive tackle Jackson Chadwick of American Fork, Utah, surfaced as one of the Buffaloes' 2028 targets. Colorado rises as offer No. 1 for the big 6-6 offensive lineman.
Offensive Line Recruit Jackson Chadwick Raves About Colorado Offer

The versatile tackle and guard for American Fork High announced his offer on Tuesday, citing new director of player personnel Darian Darrius Darden-Box as the man handing him the scholarship.
Extremely blessed and humbled to receive my first #D1 offer from the University of Colorado. Go Buffs!!! Thank You, @CoachBox6!!!@CUBuffsFootball @cavemanfootball @adamgorney @BrandonHuffman @BlairAngulo @fasttwitchspeed @madeathletes @kanuch78 @ballersinutah pic.twitter.com/twtsWFXP9O

Chadwick raved about the offer in a conversation with Lorenzo Reyna of Colorado Buffaloes on SI.
"Getting this one from Colorado was big for me. Coach Box was the one who called and that meant a lot," Chadwick said. "He was straightforward, positive, and made it clear they see real potential in me."
Box rises as the first coach he's talked to before landing a scholarship. But he's taken an interest in Deion Sanders, too.
"I remember watching the [2023] Colorado-TCU game and thinking 'Yeah, Prime Time has arrived,'" Chadwick said in referencing Colorado's upset win to start the season. "The whole vibe around the program changed that day. I didn't get to talk with Coach Prime during the offer, but you can feel his impact in everything the staff does."
Colorado Buffaloes Pursuing Fast-Rising Offensive Lineman

Looks like the secret's out on Chadwick after the Buffaloes' offer.
Northern Arizona, out of the Football Championship Subdivision, offered Chadwick one day after Colorado.
But teams like the Buffaloes and Lumberjacks are beginning to see why Chadwick is college football-ready.
The 310-pounder surrendered zero sacks in pass protection during his sophomore campaign. The American Fork standout leaned into his strength and power to clear more than 600 rushing yards up his alley, too. Lastly, he definitely qualifies for entrance into the University of Colorado or multiple universities with his 4.0 grade point average.
"My strengths are my footwork, my length and how physical I play," Chadwick said. "I take pride in finishing blocks and being coachable. I'm working on getting stronger in my lower body and improving my run game sets against big guys. I want to be as complete of a tackle as possible."
Where Colorado Ranks in Jackson Chadwick's Recruitment

Chadwick studies multiple offensive lines at the college level in his downtime. Is Colorado one he scrutinizes a lot?
"Colorado's is interesting because they've been rebuilding and adding new talent," Chadwick said. "I pay attention to how they use their tackles, how they handle different fronts and how their technique is developing.
The Buffaloes added seven new offensive linemen in the transfer portal, featuring Bo Hughley (Georgia) and Leon Bell (Cal/Mississippi State) manning tackle as 6-7 and 6-8 additions, respectively.
Will Chadwick wear a recruiting visitor credential inside Folsom Field soon?
"Yes, sir. I definitely plan to visit," Chadwick revealed. "I want to check out Boulder for myself. An offer from Colorado is something I take seriously. I wouldn't say I have a 'top school' yet, but Colorado is absolutely one of the programs I'm looking at closely."
Colorado Looking for Sleeper Recruiting Pickup

Chadwick holding more than one offer now signals that he'll stack new ones between now and the start of his junior season.
Box developing the relationship is a great start for Colorado. But offensive line coach and Buffaloes legend Andre Gurode can sweeten the deal by delivering his own sales pitches to Chadwick.
Chadwick, too, can become coaxed by new offensive coordinator Brennan Marion for this reason: Marion's "Go-Go" offense is an explosive mixture of downhill running and play-action passes.
Colorado jumped on Chadwick early. Now it comes down to courting him the strongest, as other powers will likely pursue him now.
