DeAndre Moore Jr. Has a Chance to Become a Major Offensive Weapon
Colorado wide receiver DeAndre Moore Jr. could be one of the most important players on Colorado’s offense this season.
The wide receiver arrived in Boulder after spending the first three seasons of his college career at Texas. There, he recorded 77 receptions for 988 yards and 11 touchdowns. His experience in the SEC gives him a strong foundation entering a new program and Colorado is looking for him to translate that experience into production with the Buffaloes.
Moore was also one of the more highly regarded players available in the transfer portal this offseason. That level of attention creates significant expectations but it also demonstrates how much potential Colorado sees in him.
The biggest question entering the season is how quickly Moore can become a consistent part of the Buffaloes’ passing attack.

Reliable playmakers around the quarterback are absolutely necessary for Colorado and Moore has the opportunity to become one of the team’s primary receiving threats. The combination that he has of athleticism, experience, and production at Texas makes him an intriguing NFL prospect.
If Moore can put together a strong season in Boulder, his inclusion on the Senior Bowl watch list could be the first step toward generating even more professional interest within the next year.
Boo Carter Could Strengthen Colorado’s Secondary

Colorado defensive back Boo Carter is another intriguing player and NFL-caliber prospect on the other side of the ball.
Just like Moore, the Tennessee transfer brings in experience. He also provides versatility to the secondary. Carter has already competed at the Power Four level, giving him valuable experience heading into his first season in Boulder.
His inclusion on the Senior Bowl Top 300 watch list suggests that professional evaluators are interested in seeing what Carter can do with an expanded opportunity.
For Carter, the 2026 season is about more than just adjusting to a new team. It is a chance to show that he can become a consistent difference-maker and potentially position himself for what’s to come at the next level.

Colorado has plenty of preseason expectations surrounding the team and players. Carter and Moore in particular’s performances will be important in determining how successful the Buffaloes can be.
The Senior Bowl recognition gives both players something else to chase. If Moore and Carter can turn their offseason and preseason attention into standout seasons, they could enter the 2027 NFL Draft conversations throughout this upcoming season.
For now, the focus is on the 2026 season, and these two players have a major opportunity in front of them.
