Duke basketball had NC State fans scurrying toward the exits with minutes to play in PNC Arena on Monday night. By leaving with a 79-64 win over the unranked Wolfpack (17-13, 9-10 ACC), the No. 9 Blue Devils (24-6, 15-4 ACC) extended their winning streak to three since their infamous court-stormed loss at Wake Forest on Feb. 24.

Facing its sixth-straight sellout crowd in road contests, Duke became the only program to beat every ACC team at least once at home and on the road across the past three seasons.

And it's safe to say the outcome was a massive letdown to the masses of court-storming hopefuls. Duke basketball social media made sure to point that out, posting the final score on the Blue Devils' official account with the "Bad night for court-storm nation" caption above a picture of Jeremy Roach celebrating his late three:

Adding to the disappointment for Blue Devil haters on social media, it just so happened to be the highly publicized first stop in Year Five of Barstool Sports' Storm Chasers.

Beforehand, the foolhardy hosts visited the Duke campus 22 miles away. They stopped by the Duke Chapel, filming themselves praying for the Blue Devils to fall: "Lord, please, please, please bless us six men and allow us to storm the court today when NC State takes on Duke tonight. Please, God, just let us storm the court. Amen."

After arriving in Raleigh, they boasted about their decision to come, expressing their eagerness to encounter Duke basketball players on the court afterward: "Perfect place to start. Duke, they were whining; they were complaining a couple of weeks ago about Wake Forest. Maybe we'll see some of those players on the court tonight."

Maybe not:
