Zion Williamson, Cam Reddish big winners in rookie survey

The NBA released the results of its annual Rookie Survey this week.

Zion Williamson received the most votes from his fellow rookies to win the Rookie of the Year award for the upcoming season. Williamson pulled in 35 percent of the vote, just ahead of Ja Morant's 27 percent.

Williamson's Duke teammates RJ Barrett and Cam Reddish tied for third with 5 percent of the vote each. Fourteen different players received votes.

Jahlil Okafor (2015) and Jabari Parker (2014) were previous Duke winners of the rookie survey. Neither won the Rookie of the Year award that season.

Williamson also won in a landslide for the question "Which rookie is the most athletic?" getting 87 percent of the vote. That's the most any rookie has gotten on any question in the history of the survey, topping Steph Curry's 79 percent for "Which rookie is the best shooter?" in 2009.

Zion received votes in the "Which rookie is the best shooter?" question this season.

Cam Reddish won the survey for "Which rookie will have the best career?" with 19 percent of the vote. Williamson and Barrett tied for fourth with four percent.

This is the sixth straight year a Duke player has won on this survey question, with Reddish joining Parker, Okafor, Brandon Ingram, Jayson Tatum and Wendell Carter Jr.

Reddish also received votes for "Which rookie was the biggest steal?"
