WATCH: Checking in with Duke's transfers

With Duke on a bye, we look in on former Blue Devils still playing in college

Duke’s football program has been stable under David Cutcliffe, but the Blue Devils had six players enter the transfer portal in the last year.

Let’s check in on how they’re doing in their new college homes so far this season.

Wide receiver Keyston Fuller left as a graduate transfer after playing 26 games in two seasons for Duke. He redshirted in 2015 then missed 2016 following knee surgery. He had seven catches for 32 yards with the Blue Devils.

Now with the Richmond Spiders, Fuller leads the team with 16 catches, 295 yards and two touchdowns.

His 208 yards against Elon last week was the fourth highest in Richmond history.

Fuller is joined on Richmond by Brandon Feamster, who also left Duke as a graduate transfer.

Feamster played three years with the Blue Devils at corner and safety. He started seven of his 37 games with 55 tackles, two tackles for loss, an interception and a fumble recovery.

Starting at cornerback, Feamster has 11 tackles, three solo, in three games with the Spiders.

Defensive end Chidi Okonya played in 11 games in parts of two seasons with Duke. He had three tackles and assisted on a tackle for loss.

Okonya was dismissed from the team, along with defensive end Terrell Lucas.

Okonya got his Duke degree and transferred to N.C. Central, where he was immediately eligible. He missed the opening game but has two tackles, both solos, in the two games since.

Lucas transferred to Austin Peay. In three years with Duke, he had 33 tackles in 32 games with 7 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, and a pass breakup.

Lucas has not appeared in a game yet and may be sitting out the season due to transfer rules.

Jordan Hayes played three years for Duke, starting 13 of 30 career games at safety. He had 97 tackles, 6 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks and eight pass breakups.

He departed for Central Florida as a grad transfer. As backup free safety, he has three tackles, two solo and a tackle for loss in three games for the Knights

Linebacker Tinashe Bere played 17 games in three years, starting six. He had 71 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss 1.5 sacks a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. He’s battled injury throughout his career and was granted a sixth year of eligibility by the NCAA. He has yet to see the field for his new team, the Cincinnati Bearcats, however.
