Quentin Harris: I talked to Daniel Jones yesterday

Quentin Harris spent plenty of time as Daniel Jones’ backup, and yesterday, they spoke for the first time as two starting quarterbacks.
Harris inherited Jones’ old position leading the Blue Devils, while Jones has been installed as the starter for the New York Giants.
“I talked to him a little bit, yesterday,” Harris said. “It’s a big opportunity for him. He was excited. He was getting into the game plan already. Yesterday was an off day, but he was doing some studying when I called him.”
Jones also talked about the Blue Devils’ impressive offensive showing last week, scoring every time they had the ball until well into the second half on their way to blowing out Middle Tennessee State.
“It shows what we’re capable of, week in, week out,” he said, “if we’re operating to the best of our abilities. To score on every possession we had out there until late into the game and really just to be able to operate at a high level just shows what we can do. When we’re locked in and we’re focused, that’s what we’re capable of.”
Harris also talked about the coaches giving him more control to change the play call, something Coach Cutcliffe mentioned after the last game.
“In our offense, I always have the ability to check certain plays depending on the look they give us,” he said.
Harris is also happy the coaches are being more aggressive with the fourth down play calling, including several pass plays last week, and he’s excited to get Jake Bobo back in the mix.
