Most people thought the idea of airing Duke’s game at Middle Tennessee State on Facebook Live was an odd situation, but quarterback Quentin Harris found his target audience for the game.

“The only people that mentioned it to me were my older relatives, who are on Facebook,” he said. “My aunt is on there. I have several aunts on there, actually. They were all posting things.”

Harris also spoke about receiver Aaron Young’s breakout game at Middle Tennessee. Young had 106 yards and two touchdowns on six catches.

“He hasn’t been fully healthy for the duration of his career here,” he said. “It was great to see him put on a performance we all knew he’s capable of.”

Harris also discussed Young’s brief flirtation with transferring in the offseason.

“We were definitely excited to welcome him back after he decided his best opportunity was to stay here with us,” he said.

He also discussed the team’s use of the triple option to help kill clock late in the Middle Tennessee game. “It’s just another wrinkle for the defense to prepare for,” he said, also saying that it’s not the only late game tool Duke has to protect a lead.

“We have other ways to milk clock as well,” he said.
