Quentin Harris Passes Two On Duke Career List

Quentin Harris had a relatively uneventful game against Georgia Tech when it comes to the Duke passing list.

Harris (seen below talking about the game) had 11 completions and no touchdowns, staying in place at 20 and 14 respectively on those lists.

His 176 passing yards gave him 1,693, which moved him up two spots, to 22.

Harris passed:

David Green (1,523 yards). Described by the Greensboro News and Record at the time as “goatee-sportin', diamond earring-wearin', basketball-playin', street-talkin'”, Green was not your typical Blue Devils quarterback. A high school basketball standout, he played on the same team as UNC point guard Jeff McInnis. Green spent his first two years as Spence Fisher’s backup, throwing just nine passes, before winning the starting job in his junior year, defeating Matt Rader in a preseason battle. He passed for 958 yards that year and ended up splitting time almost perfectly evenly with Rader in an 0-11 season. He backed up Bobby Campbell as a senior, coming off the bench late in the season to pass for a school record 335 yards in the second half and school record four touchdowns in a wild fourth-quarter comeback attempt against Georgia Tech. He still holds six school records, most resulting from that game.

Bob Corbett (1,585 yards). As a junior, Corbett backed up fellow junior Hal Spears, passing for 558 yards. As a senior, he took the job from Spears, leading the team in passing and total offense before freshman Mike Dunn stepped in to take over the team late in the year.
