Duke Basketball Product Looks to Revive NBA Career

In this story:
Jabari Parker is only 28 years old. He should be enjoying his prime years in the NBA. Instead, the Duke basketball talent has not been on an active roster since early January 2022, despite averaging 14.1 points and 5.5 rebounds for his career in the league.

If Parker gets a fresh start, one would think he's still skilled enough to contribute for years to come.
That fresh start could be with the Phoenix Suns, a title-contending franchise reportedly looking for cheap veteran options to fill out its 2023-24 roster around four expensive centerpieces in Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, Bradley Beal, and Deandre Ayton.
And Bleacher Report's Chris Haynes reported this week that the Suns are hosting a free-agent workout on Wednesday featuring Jabari Parker and 27-year-old journeyman forward Stanley Johnson.

Since going No. 2 overall at the 2014 NBA Draft after becoming the USBWA National Freshman of the Year in his one-and-done Duke basketball campaign, Parker has suited up for six teams: the Milwaukee Bucks, Chicago Bulls, Washington Wizards, Atlanta Hawks, Sacramento Kings, and most recently, Boston Celtics.

Last season was Parker's first as a pro that he has not played for any squad. But between the two previous seasons, the oft-injured forward from Chicago saw action in only 25 games.
He hasn't averaged double-digit points since the 2019-20 season.
