Major Duke Basketball Target 'Very Interested' in New Suitor

Duke basketball's competition in the Boozer sweepstakes now includes four bluebloods.

Last week, Christopher Columbus (Fla.) five-star power forward Cameron Boozer hinted at an offer from Kansas by posting a picture of the Jayhawks logo to his Instagram account. Duke basketball great Carlos Boozer's other twin son, five-star combo guard Cayden Boozer, has confirmed that addition to their list of suitors.

"I have heard from a lot of coaches that have offered me and just building relationships with all of those teams," the rising high school junior told 247Sports' Travis Branham this week before reeling off their current offer sheet. "We have Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, North Carolina, Miami, Arkansas, Florida, Michigan, Florida State."

Of course, it's no surprise that Cameron Boozer, No. 1 overall on the 247Sports 2025 Composite, and Cayden Boozer, now up seven spots to No. 20 overall, would land on the wishlists of the modern game's top four bluebloods in Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, and UNC.

After all, they could be a game-changer package deal.

Between those four household-name programs vying for the Boozer twins' services, the Blue Devils have been in the race the longest. Duke basketball head coach Jon Scheyer offered them over a year ago, just before the end of their first year of high school.

Kentucky followed suit in mid-May this year. Then UNC entered the mix a few days later.

While Cameron and Cayden had nice things to say about the continued pursuits from Duke, Kentucky, UNC, and hometown-hopeful Miami, Cameron's comments to Branham about Kansas paint the Jayhawks as bonafide contenders despite their staff being relatively late to the battle.

"They are starting to recruit us," he explained. "It was our first time talking, so trying to get to know them and get used to the school, but I am very interested in them, as well."

Neither twin has named finalists or scheduled official visits.

Some see Scheyer and his gang as the logical frontrunner due to the Duke basketball connection; consider Cameron Boozer was named after the school's Cameron Indoor Stadium. Even so, no national recruiting insiders have officially predicted the blueblood in Durham — or any other, for that matter — to come out on top.
