Lincoln Park (Pa.) guard Meleek Thomas, No. 6 overall on the 247Sports 2025 Composite, has held a Duke basketball offer since last spring. And the 6-foot-4, 175-pound five-star included the Blue Devils among the top 12 he named in September.

Despite the fact Thomas referred to Duke as his "dream school" months before receiving the offer out of Durham, Blue Devil head coach Jon Scheyer and his crew have yet to lock up a visit in his high-profile recruitment. Thus far, his only official trips were to Auburn in mid-January and Kentucky three weeks ago.

But as On3's Joe Tipton pointed out on Friday after speaking to the notably advanced playmaker and versatile scorer, Thomas "is nowhere close to being done with college trips." Moreover, he told Tipton that Duke is one of seven schools he wants to check out before announcing his decision.

The others he mentioned are UConn, Michigan, Pitt, Tennessee, Kansas, and Kansas State.

On3's Jamie Shaw summed up Thomas' strengths:

"Meleek Thomas is a bucket-getter who is wired to score. He is electric when it comes to shooting the ball with range that extends well beyond the three-point arc and the confidence that extends to any level.

"He has good length with some quick-twitch pop to his game. Thomas is able to carve out space off the bounce. His dribble can get him open, and he has the ability to contort his body to get his shoulders squared upon release."

Thomas is one of eight in his class on the Duke basketball recruiting wishlist. All other seven are also of the five-star variety: forwards Cameron Boozer, Koa Peat, Caleb Wilson, and Nate Ament; and guards Cayden Boozer, Jalen Haralson, and Brayden Burries.
