Columbus High School (Fla.) five-star Cayden Boozer, who is the son of 2001 Duke basketball national champ Carlos Boozer and ranks No. 17 overall on the 247Sports 2025 Composite, isn't the highest-ranked guard in his class.

He's not even the top-ranked Boozer, as his twin brother, five-star forward and fellow Blue Devil target Cameron Boozer, sits at No. 2 overall.

But on Wednesday night, Cayden Boozer led Columbus to an 81-78 home win over Prolific Prep (Calif.), a loaded squad featuring the top-ranked 2025 and 2026 prospects in five-star forwards AJ Dybantsa and Tyran Stokes. The 6-foot-3, 190-pound crafty backcourt weapon finished with a team-high 25 points; Cameron Boozer chipped in 13.

Cayden Boozer's memorable efforts included the following clutch and-one driving finish to pull his squad within four points of the prep powerhouse with 21 ticks remaining in regulation:

Thirteen seconds later, he knocked down this 3-pointer to give Columbus hope as it faced only a 70-69 deficit:

Sure, Dybantsa appeared to hold his ground over Cameron Boozer at No. 1 in the rankings via his impressive 35-point outing.

Again, though, it was the Boozer twins who came away with the victory. And Cayden Boozer, perhaps now in line for a significant bump in the rankings, showed the recruiting world he's more than just a facilitator and complementary piece for his brother.

The Boozer twins, who received an offer from Duke basketball head coach Jon Scheyer in May 2022, were on an official visit with the Blue Devils two weeks ago. They attended the team's home loss to Arizona.

Neither has named finalists, nor have they announced favorites in their recruitment.
