GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Florida’s formerly eight-deep injury report improved significantly ahead of its Week 3 bout with Tennessee, as only three Gators are listed on the up-to-date report with two players ruled out of Saturday’s game.

Find Florida's injury report ahead of its Week 3 matchup with Tennessee below.

  • WR Thai Bowman (lower body) — questionable
  • TE Tony Livingston (upper body) — out
  • LB Ja’Markis Weston (upper body) — out

Arguably the most important update to the report compared to a week ago is center Kingsley Eguakun's removal from the report. After starting 26 games in a row in the middle of UF's offensive line, Eguakun missed the first two weeks of the season with an ankle injury that forced him to wear a boot on his right foot, although Napier said on Monday that the team anticipated Eguakun's return to practice this week.

Redshirt sophomore Jake Slaughter occupied the role of first-team center in Eguakun's place this season. It would appear that Eguakun is in line to resume the duty against the Volunteers.

Additionally, quarterback Jack Miller III, wide receivers Kahleil Jackson and Marcus Burke, and cornerback Devin Moore were removed from the report.

However, Bowman, Livingston and Weston carried over from Week 2.

Livingston started at tight end for Florida offensively in Week 1 against Utah, before missing Week 2 with his upper body injury. Jonathan Odom has filled Livingston’s role at the position.

Weston does not occupy a starting role defensively but is one of Florida’s top special teams contributors. He was absent in Week 2, as well.

Miller, Florida's listed backup quarterback, has returned to practice and been removed from the injury report after being sidelined with what Napier described in August as tendinitis in his throwing shoulder.

Redshirt freshman Max Brown, then graduate student Micah Leon, made up Florida's quarterback depth behind starter Graham Mertz in Miler's absence. The duo combined to complete four-of-six passes for 40 yards against McNeese State in Week 2.

It is worth noting that six of the seven players Florida deemed questionable for Week 2 did not play. Of that group, only receiver Marcus Burke took the field in the game.

Linebacker Deuce Spurlock II was not featured on Florida's injury report ahead of the McNeese State matchup, however, he did not dress for the contest.
