New Orleans (La.) De La Salle 2023 offensive tackle Caden Jones officially signed with Florida on Wednesday, National Signing Day.

The 6-foot-8, 329-pound lineman picked the Gators over Texas A&M and Houston during the Adidas All-American Bowl on Jan. 7.

In early Dec. 2022, following an in-home visit by Gators head coach Billy Napier and running backs coach Jabbar Juluke, Jones declared that Florida remained the leader in his recruitment in an interview with All Gators, despite the Gators' up-and-down first season under Napier's supervision.

He originally named UF his top team last August and is a noted fan of Napier's ground-oriented scheme.

"Well, I knew it wasn't gonna be spectacular, it was the first season," Jones said. "But they did really well for their first season there. I love the way they ran the ball how they did because, you know, any offensive lineman loves a run-heavy offense."

Jones joins guard Roderick Kearney, center Knijeah Harris and tackle Bryce Lovett among Florida's offensive line additions in the 2023 cycle. The latter trio joined the team in January as midyear enrollees.

Additionally, Florida acquired three offensive linemen through the transfer portal to kick off the offseason: Baylor guard Micah Mazzccua, Alabama tackle Damieon George Jr. and Kentucky tackle Kiyaunta Goodwin
