BREAKING: Florida State Moves Back Into Top-4 In Latest AP Top 25 Poll

The Seminoles move up one spot after Ohio State's loss to Michigan.

Florida State found itself in a bar fight in Gainesville but the team continued to show its resiliency despite facing a hostile environment without its starting quarterback. The Seminoles outscored the Gators 17-3 in the second half to finish the 2023 regular season undefeated for the seventh team in program history.

The victory also clinched FSU's 16th state championship and second straight season of sweeping both in-state rivals. It's the 12th time in the last 30 years that the Seminoles have defeated Florida and Miami in the same season.

On Sunday afternoon, the weekly Associated Press Top 25 Poll was released. Florida State moved back up to No. 4 in the rankings following Ohio State's loss to Michigan. This marks the 13th straight week that the Seminoles have been ranked in the top five. The team was voted No. 4 in the Coaches Poll. The complete AP Top 25 Poll can be viewed here.

The only teams ranked higher than FSU are Georgia, Michigan, and Washington. The Seminoles are one of five teams remaining in the FBS that have yet to lose a game this year.

There are still eight teams in contention for the four College Football Playoff spots entering conference championship week. Florida State remains in control of its own destiny and can put itself in a position to make the top four with a win over No. 15 Louisville. The team already holds a victory over No. 13 LSU.

The Seminoles will be back in action in the ACC Championship game against the Cardinals on Saturday, December 2. The game will kick off at 7:00 p.m. and be televised on ABC.
