The final game week of the 2023 season has arrived for Florida State as the team prepares to face off with the Georgia Bulldogs in the Orange Bowl. The Seminoles are 13-0 and won their first ACC Championship in nine years earlier this month. However, a historic playoff snub has resulted in a number of opt-outs and transfers from Tallahassee leading up to the bowl game.

The program will be missing seven players who have declared for the 2024 Draft; running back Trey Benson, wide receiver Johnny Wilson, wide receiver Keon Coleman, tight end Jaheim Bell, defensive end Jared Verse, defensive tackle Fabien Lovett, and safety Akeem Dent. There have also been multiple members of the roster to enter the portal to commit to other schools such as quarterback AJ Duffy, running back Rodney Hill, running back CJ Campbell, tight end Markeston Douglas, and offensive lineman Bless Harris.

On Tuesday, the Seminoles released their updated depth chart for the contest against the Bulldogs. There have been a ton of changes to the two-deep on both sides of the ball.

With redshirt junior Tate Rodemaker opting out, true freshman Brock Glenn is the only scholarship quarterback left on the depth chart. Walk-ons Dylan McNamara and Michael Grant are also listed on the two-deep.

Trey Benson, Rodney Hill, and CJ Campbell have been removed from the depth chart. Lawrance Toafili also doesn't appear after having season-ending surgery. Caziah Holmes is listed as a starter at one of the positions with Samuel Singleton as his backup. Ja'Khi Douglas mans the other spot with Joshua Burrell as his backup.

Kyle Morlock continues to hold down a starting role and Preston Daniel is now his backup. Redshirt sophomore Jackson West steps into the starting position that was opened by Bell's departure with Brian Courtney as his backup.

Kentron Poitier and Darion Williamson take over at wide receiver with Wilson and Coleman moving on. Destyn Hill locks down the slot with Deuce Spann as his primary backup.

The offensive line remains relatively the same other than the removal of Bless Harris. That means Robert Scott is the primary starter at left tackle and Jeremiah Byers is the primary starter at right tackle.

Without Verse in the lineup, Gilber Edmond and Byron Turner Jr are listed as co-starters opposite of Patrick Payton. Dante Anderson and Jaden Jones will back up Payton.

The defensive tackles look fairly different with Lovett no longer on the two deep. Braden Fiske will start at one of the spots while Joshua Farmer slides to the other. Darrell Jackson, Dennis Briggs, and Daniel Lyons are also listed at the position.

The Seminoles are expected to rely on Kalen DeLoach and Tatum Bethune with DJ Lundy in the portal. Omar Graham Jr., Blake Nichelson, and Justin Cryer round out the two-deep at linebacker.

The cornerback position took an unexpected hit with Renardo Green and Jarrian Jones opting out. Azareye'h Thomas and Fentrell Cypress II will hold down the outside with Kevin Knowles and Greedy Vance listed as co-starters at nickel.

FSU will be looking to true freshman Conrad Hussey to step up at safety with Dent moving on to the professional level. Breakout redshirt sophomore Shyheim Brown has been reliable throughout the year.

The changes continue into special teams as Ja'Khi Douglas will take over at punt returner with Coleman no longer on the roster. Deuce Spann steps into the primary kick returner spot next to Hykeem Williams with Hill gone

Florida State and Georgia are scheduled to kick off at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 30. The contest will be televised on ESPN.
