The Seminoles are 11-0 and in a position to compete for a College Football Playoff spot depending on how the next couple of weeks unfold. Unfortunately, Florida State will be moving forward with one of its top players on and off the field after starting quarterback Jordan Travis suffered a serious leg injury against North Alabama.

Redshirt junior Tate Rodemaker is expected to take over as FSU's starting signal-caller for the remainder of the year. Rodemaker holds just one career start during his first four years in Tallahassee but has guided the Seminoles to a pair of comeback victories after coming off the bench in Louisville in 2022 and against the Lions.

BREAKING: Florida State Quarterback Jordan Travis Suffers Serious Injury Against North Alabama

While there may be some uncertainty surrounding whether Florida State can continue its undefeated run with Rodemaker at the helm, one key figure has already made his opinion known on the situation. Travis recently professed his belief in the Georgia native with a comment on Instagram, presumably from his hospital bed.

"Y’all don’t be shocked when he brings us where we belong. #18elieve"

After suiting up alongside Rodemaker for the last four years, there are not many people who are more familiar with the quarterback than Travis himself. You can bet that he'll be right alongside Rodemaker to help guide the way with the Seminoles still chasing a conference title and second consecutive state championship.

During his career at Florida State, Rodemaker has completed 56/93 passes (60.2%) for 767 yards with seven touchdowns to five interceptions. Most of his success has come in the last two seasons as he's recorded a 7:2 touchdown to interception ratio from 2022-23.

Rodemaker will make his second start with the Seminoles when the team travels to Gainesville this weekend. The Gators are also expected to turn to their backup quarterback. The annual rivalry game is scheduled to kick off at 7:00 p.m. and will be televised on ESPN.
