Kickoff is closing in for Florida State's first game following the BYE week as the team prepares to take on the Virginia Tech Hokies in Doak Campbell Stadium.

The Seminoles have won their first four games of the season, including a dominating victory against LSU to open the year. However, FSU displayed some warts in close wins over Clemson and Boston College, leading some to wonder if this team is truly a College Football Playoff Contender.

Florida State has an opportunity to put all of those questions to rest against the Hokies. Virginia Tech is coming into this matchup with some confidence after handling Pittsburgh last week. New starting quarterback Tyron Drones could provide an interesting wrinkle for the Seminoles to combat on defense.

Ahead of the contest, there's plenty of players to keep an eye on for the Seminoles. The team is cautiously optimistic that multiple starters or members of the two-deep could return to the lineup including left tackle Robert Scott, safety Akeem Dent, wide receiver Kentron Poitier, and wide receiver Ja'Khi Douglas.

Scott hasn't suited up since the season-opener after getting hurt early in the win against LSU. Dent went down during the first half of the home opener and has remained out over the last few weeks. Douglas and Poitier have yet to record a snap on offense this season while recovering from injuries.

NoleGameday will be keeping an eye on the players mentioned above and more to determine who is available to play on Saturday. Follow along below for updates before the Seminoles kick off against the Hokies.

— Ja'Khi Douglas and Deuce Spann are warming up with the specialists. Spann missed the game against Clemson due to an illness while Douglas is set to make his season debut following a preseason injury. Both players are fully dressed and look good to go.

— Wide receiver Kentron Poitier is fully dressed out and warming up. He does have a sleeve on his left leg. It appears that Poitier's preparing to try and give it a go for the Seminoles against Virginia Tech.

— Veteran safety Akeem Dent is in full pads and stretching out during pregame. He's another previously injured member of the two-deep who appears ready to try and return on Saturday afternoon.

— Offensive tackle Robert Scott is dressed out and warming up with less than an hour until Florida State kicks off. Scott hasn't been in the lineup since early in the win against LSU. However, the veteran who was taking his place, Bless Harris, is in street clothes and won't play today.

— It's worth noting that Darius Washington worked as the starting left tackle during pregame rather than Scott. The starting five appears to be Washington, Casey Roddick, Maurice Smith, D'Mitri Emmanuel, and Jeremiah Byers.

— Brock Glenn didn't suit up with the quarterbacks for the third game in a row. Head coach Mike Norvell said prior to the Clemson game that he would miss some time but it's expected he'll return prior to the end of the year.

— Lamont Green Jr, Jaden Jones, and Lucas Simmons include some of the other Seminoles who aren't dressed today.

— Darrell Jackson remains in street clothes while waiting to gain eligibility.
