Former Florida State offensive lineman Dillan Gibbons made a significant impact in Tallahassee on and off the field. He developed into a strong leader and culture changer while also being known for his charity efforts through Big Man, Big Heart, Inc.

Gibbons is moving into the next step in his career after trying out for the Indianapolis Colts and Jacksonville Jaguars earlier this year. He recently made an appearance on the MOGL Podcast where he discussed his experiences at Florida State, Notre Dame, and more.

With the Heisman campaign already underway at Florida State, naturally, Gibbons offered his thoughts on star quarterback Jordan Travis. He believes that Travis will be in the conversation for the award and it wouldn't surprise him if he secures the trophy for the fourth time in program history.

"I was actually at the Heisman event this year, up in New York. I could honestly see Jordan Travis being there next year if not winning the whole damn thing," Gibbons said on the podcast. "I don't see him not being part of that conversation. Just being around Jordan Travis for two years has been absolutely electric. He's a quiet guy but there aren't many people I've been around that have just been able to just go win football games and Jordan Travis is one of those guys."

"I know that at any level, in season or in the ACC or whatever is going to happen this year in the championships, Jordan Travis will be able to go and put the team on his back and win football games when he needs to," Gibbons continued. "Which is an exciting thing and a really electric player to be around just by his athleticism, his hard-headedness, how hard he works every day, and how much he pushes himself in the weight room, in the community, and on the football field."

Gibbons started in 24 games during his two years at Florida State, finishing off his college career as a First-Team All-ACC selection in 2022. He was won the Wurffel Trophy, Jim Tatum Award and was named to the All-ACC Academic Team while being regarded as the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team Captain.

Travis is coming off a breakout campaign where he was the highest graded FBS quarterback in the country according to PFF. He was named Second-Team All-ACC after completing 226/353 passes (64%) for 3,214 yards with 24 touchdowns to five interceptions. Travis also rushed 417 yards and seven more scores.

Only three players from Florida State have ever won the Heisman Trophy; Charlie Ward (1993), Chris Weinke (2000), and Jameis Winston (2013).

PFF projected Travis as its 2023 Heisman winner earlier this month. Travis holds the fifth-best odds (+1400) to secure the trophy according to BetOnline, trailing USC's Caleb Williams, LSU's Jayden Daniels, Texas' Quinn Ewers, and Clemson's Cade Klubnik.
