With just a little over eight months before a toe meets leather, Florida State football has been listed as a 12.5-point favorite over the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. The Seminoles are also a -480 favorite on the money line.

The Seminoles and the Yellow Jackets will start their season early in a Week 0 matchup that will occur in Dublin, Ireland at Aviva Stadium.

The last time these two teams met in a season opener was the 2020 season. GT spoiled FSU head coach Mike Norvell's first game with the 'Noles. Florida State held a 10-0 lead at the half at home but couldn't hold on in the fourth quarter. They lost by a score of 16-13.

However, Mike Norvell and Co. got their revenge in 2022 when the Yellow Jackets made the trip down to Tallahassee once again. Florida State won in a blowout, the score was 41-16.

There will be another facet, another storyline to the game in Ireland for Seminoles fans. ESPN's "College Gameday" will make an appearance for the Week 0 matchup in Dublin.

Kirk Herbstreit, who is a long-time panelist on the show, has drawn an immense amount of animosity from Florida State fans after he consistently lobbied for teams with one loss - such as Alabama and Texas - to make the College Football Playoff over the Seminoles.

The Seminole fans that make the trip to Ireland will likely not sing the praises of Mr. Herbstreit when it is his turn to speak.

This will be the second year in a row that Florida State plays its season opener at a neutral site, and the third year in a row playing its FBS season opener at a neutral site.
