FSU Quarterback Jordan Travis Watches Seminoles Finish Off North Alabama From Hospital

Despite going down with an injury in the opening quarter, Travis continued to support the Seminoles throughout the duration of their victory.

Celebration turned to disaster in Doak Campbell Stadium on Saturday evening when star quarterback Jordan Travis suffered a serious injury while being brought down by a North Alabama defender. Following the play, Travis reacted angrily as the pain set in with his left foot twisting in the wrong direction.

It didn't take long for trainers from both sides to reach the injured signal-caller. An air cast was quickly applied to his leg and Travis was eventually carted off the field directly to an ambulance in the tunnel. The ambulance didn't appear to depart until right as the Seminoles went into the locker room.

Whether it's because Travis didn't want to leave his team or not is up for discussion. What cannot be denied is his love, support, and care for the people within and around the Florida State Football Program. Despite going through the toughest moment of his college career on a night when he was one of the focal points of Senior Day, the Seminole standout kept his focus on those that meant the most to him.

"Coming in, we knew this was Jordan Travis' last game at Doak Campbell Stadium. I wanted to see him have a special game, special experience," Norvell said after the game. "Anytime someone gets hurt, it hurt. It's painful to see, it's painful to have to go through, you just want so bad for that kid because he does everything right. He really is just a special, special young man."

According to his Instagram, Travis watched the Seminoles finish off North Alabama from the hospital. He got a chance to see true freshman quarterback Brock Glenn score his first career touchdown and expressed excitement over Quindarrius Jones returning a blocked kick for a score to conclude the 58-13 victory.

Florida State trailed 13-0 when Travis exited the game. The team responded by scoring 58 consecutive points to take down a feisty Lions squad that made things tough on the Seminoles early in the contest. In relief of Travis, backup signal-caller Tate Rodemaker completed 13/23 passes for 217 yards and two touchdowns with zero interceptions.

FSU returns to action next weekend for its regular season finale against the Florida Gators. The game will kick off from Gainesville at 7:00 p.m. and will be televised on ESPN.
