Florida State's success in the growing Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) space over the last couple of months can be partly attributed to the introduction of The Battle's End Collective into the landscape. Since its inception in December, the collective has been at the forefront of the Seminoles retaining key players and young talent while also securing experience out of the NCAA Transfer Portal.

In less than three months, The Battle's End is quickly setting a standard in the market with its unique approach and successful business model. Leading up to the weekend, the collective had focused on building its reach without the use of outside donations.

That approach changed to facilitate a unique NIL opportunity for two players on Florida State's roster - quarterback Jordan Travis and running back Trey Benson - and get them front and center for Super Bowl LVII between Kansas City and Philadelphia in Arizona.

According to On3's Pete Nakos, The Battle's End worked with another group affiliated with Florida State to secure the experience through a donor, who pitched in his private jet to cover the travel. CEO Ingram Smith broke down the weekend in an interview with Nakos.

“We didn’t get a million dollars for this, but we got more than half [in a donation],” Smith said to Nakos on Monday. “It was a great fundraiser for us as well. That was a donation for this donor be to able to take Jordan and Trey, with his family, to the Super Bowl.”

The unnamed donor and his family were able to have a personal experience alongside two of the top players in the country. Travis and Benson attended Super Bowl LVII and met with some former members of Florida State's program, including Los Angeles Chargers' star safety Derwin James.

According to Smith, the two were blown away and it ended up being a win for everyone involved.

“Awesome experience for the donor,” Smith said. “I wasn’t there, but we had another member of our team – a guy that’s not one for hyperbole – who described Jordan and Trey as basically kids on Christmas morning walking into that plane. That’s the first time that’s ever happened to them. And they were blown away, by not just going to the game but flying private – just a whole new world.

“We’ll do other things, and we’ll figure out new avenues to fulfill experiences. But this was one of the cooler things that we’ve done. And it’s surreal. Just a 360-win," Smith continued. "Great for the kids to have that experience, great for us to get the exposure and the money. And you know, that donor is going to have an experience for his kids; it will never be replicated in 1,000 years.”

Following the Chiefs comeback victory against the Eagles, Travis and Benson expressed their gratitude for the experience on The Battle's End Collective's social media pages.

"What's up ya'll. It's Jordan Travis [and Trey Benson]. We just want to thank The Battle's End Collective for bringing us here, allowing us to experience this," Travis said. "It was a dream come true. We're very thankful for this opportunity and that we were chosen to come here. Go Noles!"

The Battle's End is expected to begin taking more donations from the public in the near future. TBE is growing swiftly, already holding 10.2K followers on Twitter and nearly 1,700 followers on Instagram. Seminoles such as defensive end Jared Verse, wide receiver Johnny Wilson, defensive lineman Braden Fiske, tight end Jaheim Bell, and cornerback Fentrell 'Deuce' Cypress II have also partnered with the collective since the calendar flipped to 2023.

Travis and Benson are two of the most talented players in the country returning this upcoming season. Travis is coming off a breakout season where he completed 64% of his passes for 3,214 yards with 24 touchdowns to five interceptions while also rushing for 417 yards and seven more scores. Benson earned consistent playing time for the first time in his college career and turned the opportunity into a productive year with 154 rushes for 990 yards with nine touchdowns.
