The Florida State Seminoles did not get off to a good start against the Boston College Eagles. The defense was lousy early, giving up a touchdown. After the Seminoles responded with a field goal, Boston College started marching down the field again.

With every opportunity to get a stop, including third and longs and penalties on Boston College's offense, Florida State couldn't come up with the stop until they forced the Eagles into a field goal at the goal line.

Finally, Jordan Travis and the offense got rolling. A few read options and a rollout pass to Lawrance Toafili got the ball moving down the field.

Travis eventually connected with Jaheim Bell on second and short where Bell took the ball to the end zone.

Bell's 19-yard touchdown along with a converted PAT tied the game up at ten points apiece early in the second quarter. For Seminoles fans, it's comforting to see the offense put together a complete drive.

Now it's time for the defense to back up the offense and come up with a huge stop. The defense has been outstanding all season, and the early display against the Eagles wouldn't back up that statement.

Bell's touchdown also shows the variety of weapons the Florida State offense has to use for this matchup.
