Two Former Florida State Standouts Visit White House After Super Bowl Season

In this story:
The Kansas City Chiefs have won two Super Bowls in the past three years and after defeating the San Fransisco 49ers in 2020, the American tradition of visiting the White House was put on hold due to COVID-19 restrictions as the whole world battled with the pandemic.
Fast forward three years later and the Chiefs would be hoisting the Lombardy Trophy again after taking down the Philadelphia Eagles in a 38-35 victory that sealed quarterback Patrick Mahomes and Kansas City in NFL history.

Former Florida State defensive tackle Derrick Nnadi and defensive end Joshua Kaindoh were both part of the team that won it all in 2023. They have finally stepped foot on the White House floors to celebrate the 2020 and 2023 championships, meet with the president and fulfill what some would consider another lifelong dream.

Nnadi spent four years with the Seminoles from 2014-18 and five years with the Chiefs heading into Super Bowl LIV. At FSU, he totaled 165 tackles, 24 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, and two recoveries while earning first-team All-ACC honors and being on the watchlist for numerous awards.
His NFL career to date has expanded through multiple Super Bowl appearances and championships. He's amassed 193 tackles, four sacks, a forced fumble, and an interception.
Kaindoh spent four years with 'Noles and suffered a season-ending injury in 2019. His promise got him selected in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft after playing 21 games in garnet and gold while totaling 30 tackles, 9.5 for loss, an interception, and a forced fumble.
He's spent most of his time on the practice squad in Kansas City after being placed on injured reserve. While Kaindoh's NFL career is still relatively young, he has the potential to become a key contributor on the Chiefs' defensive line. With his athleticism and pass-rushing ability, he has the opportunity to make a significant impact and contribute to the team's success.
Today will mark the first time an NFL team has visited the White House since the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2021.
