Six Prospects Expected To Officially Visit Florida State To Kick Off June

The Seminoles are getting a massive recruiting month started with half a dozen talented prospects expected in Tallahassee.

Summer recruiting is about to kick off at a furious pace with the beginning of the month of June. With the majority of top prospects in this day and age of the sport announcing their commitments prior to the season, this is an important period to make impressions on recruits.

Florida State isn't wasting any time on building momentum among a #Tribe24 class that ranks No. 9 in the country. Six prospects are expected to officially program during the first weekend of the month - June 2-4.

The group includes a mix of top targets at their respective positions and intriguing recruits that the Seminoles want to evaluate further; four-star running back Christian Clark, four-star offensive lineman Nyier Daniels, four-star linebacker Edwin Spillman, four-star cornerback Wardell Mack, three-star defensive back Rydarrius Morgan, and three-star defensive back Jiquavious Marshall.

Clark previously visited Florida State on April 1 alongside his mother and uncle (Kenny Felder), who both attended the university. He's one of the top options on the running back board alongside four-star prospect Micahi Danzi as the Seminoles look for a second fiddle to longtime commitment Kam Davis.

Outside of Florida State, Clark took an official visit to USC in May. He's scheduled to check out Oregon, Texas, and Georgia during June as well. Clark rushed 103 times for 737 yards and 11 touchdowns while catching 37 passes for 368 yards and five touchdowns as a junior.

Daniels is a name to know on Florida State's expanding offensive line board and there appears to be some mutual interest between the parties. He's already visited Tallahassee twice this year despite hailing from the Northeast and is building a relationship with offensive line coach Alex Atkins.

He's scheduled to officially visit Miami, Georgia, and Texas outside of the Seminoles. Rutgers is also involved with the massive prospect that helped lead his high school to the New Jersey Non-Public A Championship as a junior.

Spillman is the top option at linebacker at this point of the recruiting cycle. A blue-chip prospect, he visited Florida State with a group of other recruits in January. Linebackers coach Randy Shannon and head coach Mike Norvell are two of the coaches that are the most involved in his recruitment.

Tennessee is arguably the biggest competition for the Volunteer State native. His brother signed with the Volunteers as a member of the 2023 class. Spillman has official visits set up to Tennessee, Georgia, and Ohio State following his trip to Tallahassee. As a junior, he recorded 101 tackles, 14.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, and six pass breakups.

Mack visited Florida State for the first time back in April to observe one of the team's spring scrimmages. He spent a lot of the trip around running backs coach David Johnson, defensive backs coach Patrick Surtain Sr., and coach Norvell.

The Louisiana native is considered an LSU lean by multiple recruiting analysts. While has yet to publicly announce an official visit to Baton Rouge, Mack is scheduled to check out Florida and Texas this month. He played on both sides of the ball as a junior.

Morgan picked up an offer from the Seminoles following an unofficial visit in March. He's a prospect that the coaching staff wants to evaluate further over the weekend as the program has a lot of options in the defensive backfield. Interestingly enough, Morgan is a teammate of five-star wide receiver and FSU target, Cameron Coleman.

Outside of the Seminoles, he's scheduled official visits to Cincinnati, Auburn, and Miami. Morgan totaled 50 tackles, four tackles for loss, one fumble recovery, two interceptions, and four pass deflections during his junior season.

Marshall is an extremely intriguing recruit due to his size. Standing at 6-foot-4, 185 pounds, he's larger than your typical defensive back and will likely slot in as a safety at the college level. Florida State joined his recruitment on May 5 after Marshall previously visited Tallahassee in April.

This weekend will be crucial to see where he stands on FSU's board. Marshall also has an official visit scheduled to Georgia Tech at the end of the month. He was productive on both sides of the ball during his junior season. He caught 35 passes for 548 yards and six touchdowns on offense while totaling 31 tackles, seven pass breakups, and two interceptions. Marshall also plays basketball at the prep level.
