Kirby Smart Shares Update on Daniel Harris
Georgia head coach Kirby Smart was asked about the latest update on Daniel Harris who announced that he would be entering the NCAA Transfer Portal back on Christmas Day with the following statement.
FIRST AND FOREMOST I WANT TO GIVE THANKS TO GOD FOR BLESSING ME DAY IN AND DAY OUT WITH THE OPPORTUNITY TO PLAY THE GAME I LOVE. NONE OF THIS WOULD BE POSSIBLE WITHOUT HIM! WOULD LIKE TO THANK COACH SMART AND THE REST OF THE COACHING STAFF FOR GIVING ME THE OPPORTUNITY TO PLAY AT THE UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA AS WELL AS MY TEAMMATES THAT HAVE HELPED ALONG THE WAY. WITH THAT BEING SAID, AFTER A MUCH THOUGHT I HAVE DECIDED TO ENTER THE TRANSFER PORTAL WITH 3 YEARS LEFT OF ELIGIBILITY.
Kirby Smart stated "Just because a player has posted something about going into the portal doesn't mean they have. There's a process you have to go through in order to get into the portal. He's not in there."
