Leonard Floyd Signs With the Buffalo Bills

Former Georgia linebacker, Leonard Floyd, signs a one-year deal with the Buffalo Bills, per reports.

In recent memory, the University of Georgia is one of the best football programs to produce great NFL linebackers. One of those names would be Leonard Floyd, who signed a one-year deal with the Buffalo Bills on June 5th, according to Ian Rapoport

Floyd, 30, is a true NFL veteran who has also seen a productive career since being drafted by the Chicago Bears in the first round of the 2016 draft. Floyd was a key piece in the final years of Mark Richt's defense while being the head man of Georgia's Georgia's defense before departing to the NFL.

Playing for the Bears from 2016 to 2019, The dominant pass rusher eventually went on to play for the Los Angeles Rams, where he helped win a Super Bowl for the Rams. So far in his career, Floyd has tallied 340 total tackles, 47.5 sacks, and seven fumble recoveries.

The Bills, who have been looking to add a solid pass rusher over the last few seasons, recently picked up Von Miller, locked in Ed Oliver, and now adding Leonard Floyd. The Bills signed the OLB to a one-year deal with $7 million fully guaranteed, but ESPN's Jeremy Fowler breaks down how he can receive up to $2 million in incentive package deals

Floyd will provide a lot of solidity and leadership at the hybrid OLB position for the Bills and may be looking to pick up another Super Bowl ring before possibly hanging his cleats up for the final time.
