Final Score Predictions for Georgia Football vs Ole Miss

Georgia and Ole Miss are set to square off in a key late-season top-10 matchup in Athens. The Dawgs Daily staff is here with their final score predictions for the game.

Georgia won a hard-fought battle against Missouri last week, but the Bulldogs face another test this week when No. 9 Ole Miss makes a rare trip to play between the hedges of Sanford Stadium. At 9-0, the Bulldogs enter the game with the No. 2 ranking in the College Football Playoff rankings, while Ole Miss moved up a spot to No. 9 in the CFP rankings after it moved to 8-1 following its home win over Texas A&M a week ago. With a win on Saturday, Georgia will clinch its third-consecutive SEC Eastern Division title, while Ole Miss is seeking to stay in the SEC West and College Football Playoff races. The Bulldogs enter the game as a 10.5-point favorite as they attempt to extend their home winning streak to 25 games.

The game will kick off at 7:00 PM ET and will be broadcast on ESPN.

The Dawgs Daily staff is here with our final predictions for the top-10 tilt between Georgia and Ole Miss.

Brooks Austin: Georgia 34 - Ole Miss 23

Twenty points per game. That's the difference in scoring splits between home and away games for this potent Ole Miss offense. You expound that statistic back two seasons, and you'll find that this football team is 17 PPG worse on the road than they are at home. This Georgia defense should settle in and overwhelm Ole Miss athletically in the trenches. Offensively, Georgia has consistently moved the football against zone teams. Ole Miss's defense is improved under defensive coordinator Pete Golding, but they don't have the athletes to match up in man coverage on a down-to-down basis just yet, I expect Georgia efficient and explosive on Saturday.

Jonathan Williams: Georgia 41 - Ole Miss 24

The expectation for this football game for many is for it to come down to the wire as both offenses have shown the ability to consistently put up points this season, but that's not how I see things going on Saturday. Ole Miss's home/road game splits are shockingly different, and I am expecting the Sanford Stadium crowd to play a huge role during the game. The Rebels have shown all year that they are able to pressure the quarterback, but that's pretty much their last line of defense on that side of the ball. I am expecting a great day from Georgia's offense, and with how Ole Miss' offensive line has struggled this year, I think the Bulldogs' defense is going to be able to create some havoc as well. Dawgs control this game and win big this weekend.

Tyler Graves: Georgia 37  - Ole Miss 27

Make no mistake. Like Missouri a week ago, Ole Miss is a very good football team. The Rebels once again boast one of the SEC's most efficient and explosive offenses, but this year they have finally paired it with a competent defense under new defensive coordinator Pete Golding. Ole Miss does a lot of things offensively that have given the Georgia defense issues at times this season and will find success early in the game. but the Georgia defense will adjust quickly and control the Ole Miss offense in the second half. Defensively, the Rebels are disruptive, but they surrendered over 300 yards passing to Max Johnson a week ago - his first 300 yard passing effort in nearly two years - and still lack the players to consistently matchup with Georgia's athletes on offense.

Let's also not forget that this game will be played between the hedges of Sanford Stadium, a fortress that has been impenetrable for opponents since 2019. Ole Miss is also a dramatically less proficient team on the road with their yardage and scoring totals dropping significantly when they leave Oxford. It's difficult to imagine their road woes will turn around in a stadium where the home team has not lost in more than four full seasons. As Lane Kiffin said during the week, the Rebels will be "playing with house money," but the Bulldogs' overall talent edge, experience in big moments, and the home field edge will lead the Bulldogs to a victory over Ole Miss and secure their spot in the SEC Championship Game.

Ethan Offutt: Georgia 45 - Ole Miss 35

Ole Miss will easily be the toughest opponent Georgia has faced all season. Offering one of the best offensive attacks in the country with Quinshon Judkins leading the way in the ground, and Jaxson Dart finding all three of his wide receivers consistently this season, as Ole Miss is the only program with three wide receivers each having 600-plus yards. Defensively, the arena also have the fifth best pass rush unit, tallying 31 sacks this point to the season, but playing a constant zone coverage will hurt them against an offensive line that’s only given up six sacks in nine games.

With the way Carson Beck has played this season, completing 72% of his passes, he usually misses his targets when under duress. If Georgia’s OL can hold up against the Rebels pass rush, and if the Dawgs defense can limit the explosives, I expect Georgia to rattle off their 27th straight victory.
