Brotherhood and fellowship are two words you will hear football coaches frequent when trying to develop a position group with the goal in mind to play as one cohesive unit. This ideology is important for every position group in football, but it's particularly important for the offensive line, a unit that plays with essentially the same five guys together for four quarters.

Georgia head coach Kirby Smart has been adamant about what he calls "skull sessions" over the last several seasons, a methodology of having playing meet in smaller groups to discuss the daily happenstance in their careers. It's enhanced their unity on the team as well as their overall success of Saturday, Smart believes.

One of the many unique aspects about Georgia's program apart from the emphasis placed on mental health is the emphasis placed on the position coaches themselves to establish a strong rapport with their unit. Offensive line coach Stacy Searels has had his welcoming arms open since arriving on campus in Athens a little over a year ago.

His latest event? A massive offensive line hangout at the Searels home.

Searels is entering his second season as the offensive line coach in Athens, a year in which he returns three of five starters from the national title-winning team a year ago. As for the buy-in from the offensive line unit as a whole, sources have indicated that players love playing for Searels and that he demands a tremendous amount, but does so in the way in which players feel obligated to succeed. It's an extremely tight unit it appears, with plenty of bright futures on the roster.
