Georgia Football Keeps Their Number One Spot In Week Eight Coaches Poll

In this story:
Week seven of the 2023 college football season was one of the best thus far. Multiple top-25 matchups will shift the rankings this week, as well as multiple teams in the top-25 losing to an unranked opponent. But, if one thing held true for this week, it was that Georgia football keeps their number one spot in the week eight coaches poll after dominating the Vanderbilt Commodores.
From the week seven coaches poll, there were seven teams who lost their game this past weekend, including Oregon who lost in a shootout to the Washington Huskies. USC was also dominated by Notre Dame in Primetime, which saw Caleb WIlliams throwing three interceptions in the first half to see their undefeated season go by the way side. Kentucky suffered another heartwrenching lost to the hands of Missouri to drop them out of this weeks coaches poll. Louisville and Washington State both lost to unranked opponents in Pittsburgh and Arizona.
Meanwhile, each of the top five teams from last week made imphatic statement wins to solidify their spots in this week's coaches poll. Oregon State handled their business against UCLA, while Alabama almost saw a 21-6 halftime lead be erased for his teams second loss on the year, but the Crimson Tide held on to defeat Arkansas, 24-21. Tennessee won a nailbitter against Texas A&M, 20-13, while Kansas lost to Oklahoma State in a nailbitter, 39-32.
Georgia enters this bye week as the number one team in the country and turn their sights to the Florida Gators for the World's Largest Outdoor Cokctail Party.
