After getting off to a red hot 5-0 start to the 2019 season, the Georgia Bulldogs lost at home to the South Carolina Gamecocks. This was also the first win for South Carolina in Athens since 2011.

While the defense did it's job for the most part, James Coley's offense was unable to get anything going. The offensive collapse became one of the main reasons for Georgia's loss.

It's hard to win a game when the offense produces 4 turnovers.

That simply cannot happen.

On top of that, Georgia couldn't get much going with the run game, which led to many obvious passing situations.

The odd thing about this game is that Georgia dominated many categories. The Bulldogs dominated the Gamecocks in first downs, total yards, and time of possession.

First Downs: Georgia- 30, South Carolina- 16

Total Yards: Georgia- 468, South Carolina- 297

Time of Possession: Georgia- 36:04, South Carolina- 23:56

However, the long offensive drives were cut short with turnovers multiple times, taking tons of potential points off of the scoreboard for Georgia.

The Bulldogs will try to bounce back at home next week against Kentucky.

We'll have more analysis on Georgia's loss, and predictions for next week's game within the next few days.
