The Georgia Football program had their fourth of fifteen scheduled practices for this spring practice window. Spanning from March 12th to April 13th with the annual G-Day scrimmage game, the Bulldogs have limited time to get better. The media was allowed to get a first-hand look at the 2024 Georgia Bulldogs for the first time on Thursday afternoon.

Here's what Dawgs Daily was able to surmise during the fifteen-minute viewing window.

Georgia Football Practice Notes

  • Quarterback - Sources have indicated Gunner Stockton has had a good start to his spring, and the freshman Ryan Puglisi has shown flashes. Today during practice viewing periods, Puglisi showed signs of being a younger player, missing a few receivers on air as well as at one point, throwing to the wrong person. (Kirby Smart let him know on the microphone of his mistake.)
  • Running back rotation - Roderick Robinson is virtually untacklable in a thud setting. When defensive backs are unable to attack his lower body and are left to target his uppers, they simply bounced off today during 3over3 drills.
  • O Line Rotation -  The rotation remains the same. Today it was Morris taking the first reps at left guard. Earnest Greene, Dylan Fairchild (Micah Morris), Jared Wilson, Tate Ratledge, and Xavier Truss worked with the ones. Jamal Meriweather, Monroe Freeling and Daniel Calhoun appeared to be in the mix as well.
  • WR/TE - The first and primary starting rotation of weapons appears to be Oscar Delp at TE, with Dillon Bell at the X, RaRa Thomas at the Z and Dominic Lovett in the slot. Freshman TE Jaden Redell has been bothered by a hamstring injury and was limited during viewing periods.
  • Defense
  • D Line Notes - Didn’t see much from this unit today, as they were separated from the offense and inside the facility. Jah Jarrett appears to be in much improved cardiovascular shape.
  • LB Notes - The two freshmen, Chris Cole and Justin Williams are tremendously large humans. Troy Bowles was mentioned Tuesday by Kirby Smart as a standout this spring and he made a massive hit during the viewing periods as well.
  • STAR notes - Joenel Aguero followed by Kyron Jones with Jacorey Thomas learning as well. This has become one of the more highly contested rooms this spring and will continue as such.
  • Safety Notes - It’s a group led by Dan Jackson and David Daniel with Malaki Starks limited this spring. Jake Pope the transfer from Alabama appears to be settling in as well. Freshman KJ Bolden continues to have sources raving about his overall readiness as a freshman.
  • Corner Notes - Daylen Everette got the first reps and was rotated on the other side with Julian Humphrey and Daniel Harris. It’s still too early for separation here.
