Social Media Reacts to Amarius Mims' 40-Yard Dash

In this story:
"340 pounds isn't supposed to move like that." That was the general consensus following Amarius Mims' 5.07 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine on Sunday.
Multiple offensive linemen ran the 40 on Sunday, with five of them coming in sub-5.0, but none of those prospects weigh more than 313 pounds. For Mims, who came in at 6-foot-8, 340 pounds, to put that kind of speed on display, came as a shock to a lot of observers.
At nearly 6'8" and 340 lbs, a 5.07u is insane. Wow, @amarius_mims 😳

Amarius Mims, o-lineman from U of Georgia, at nearly 6-8, 340 pounds with a VERY impressive 5.07 40 time. Big fella can move

What is going on at @GeorgiaFootball ?! At minimum you send him off the bus first for sheer intimidation (Cc Little Giants) and maximum you have corner stone OT. I’m drafting @amarius_mims either way 😂! https://t.co/VV2bBrHBXm

Oh yes, the NFL Combine, an annual reminder that some humans are just built different. https://t.co/FIS4FvPLWz

Though Mims started just eight games in his Georgia career, his size, and athleticism should more than make up for any lack of experience. In those eight starts, Mims did not allow a sack and was flagged just once.
If a team is looking for a plug-and-play guy, Mims might not be him. He's been dealing with some lingering injuries, and again, could use a lot of experience, but he's a mountain of a man and one NFL team is going to get a great player to mold into a future starting tackle.
