Georgia Guard Jusaun Holt Enters the Transfer Portal

Mike White and the University of Georgia have made impressive strides in the recruiting department this off-season. The team’s acquisition of elite talent currently has the Dawgs ranked as the 20th recruiting class in the nation for the 2023 season.

Unfortunately, the addition of new talent often leads to the departure of current players on the roster. The latest instance of this for the Bulldogs is guard Jusaun Holt who entered the portal earlier today. This is Holt's second entrance into the portal, as the former 4-star prospect originally played for Alabama during his freshman season.

Holt joined the Bulldogs ahead of Mike White’s first season as Georgia’s head coach where he averaged 3.3 rebounds and one steal a game. The majority of his playing time came towards the middle of the season when Georgia's starting guard Terry Roberts missed time with injuries. While his statistical output was not major, the sophomore guard was a major role player for the Bulldog’s defense towards the end of the 2022 season.

While the mass exodus of players from Mike White’s inaugural season may be alarming for some. His additions via the transfer portal and his 2023 recruiting class will more than makeup for the departing talent.
